Information about banks

How the delay in payment occurred

The amount that you pay each month for your mortgage is always charged at the end of the month. It is usually collected via direct debit. This means that you have authorised your mortgage broker to take the monthly amount out of your bank account. At the time you took out your mortgage, you agreed to pay your monthly amount on time. The money is collected on a fixed day of the month. What day that is depends on your mortgage broker.

Last working day of the month:

  • Albank
  • Direktbank

  • Florius

  • MNF Bank

  • MoneYou

  • WoonNexxt

Second to last working day of the month:

  • Argenta
  • Bank of Scotland
  • Conservatrix
  • Lloyds Bank
  • Munt Hypotheken
  • Roparco
  • Staalbankiers
  • Univé
  • WestlandUtrecht Bank

sufficient funds

Until recently, some banks would make multiple attempts to collect the monthly payment. However, some of these banks have now discontinued this procedure; perhaps your bank has too. Since only one attempt is made to collect the amount from your bank account, your direct debit might not be collected, whereas in the past it would have been.

Therefore, we strongly advise you to make sure that there are sufficient funds in your account one day prior to the collection date.
